Electrical Safety

ELTEC 320

This course is focused in the study of electrical hazards common to business and industry. It provides an introduction to the knowledge of common electrical injuries to employees, property damage, and how to prevent them. Also, this class helps to develop basic skills such as the recognition and evaluation of electrical hazards, as well as the necessary knowledge to control them. The course covers regulatory compliance and safe work practices. **This course is approved by the State of California for the Department of Apprenticeship Standards (DAS) Electricians Training Program. Lecture only (A-F Only)

After successfully completing this class, students will be able to:

  • Recognize and evaluate electrical hazards. 
  • Control electrical hazards by following safety procedures and using appropriate protective equipment.
